This 12×52 FRP water softener combines Polymex cation-exchange resin with a Runxin F64A1 manual softener valve, and a brine tank. It reduces calcium and magnesium hardness to help limit scale in pipework and compatible appliances. The operator starts regeneration and turns the metal handwheel through each stage.

Manual Operation and Regeneration

The F64A1 provides service, backwash, brine draw with slow rinse, brine refill and fast rinse positions. Follow the Runxin instructions and the installer’s commissioning settings for the stage order and duration, salt dose and regeneration interval. The regeneration schedule must be based on measured feed-water hardness, actual resin loading and water consumption.

The operator must select and time the required stages, then return the valve to service. This single-vessel system does not provide normal softened-water service during regeneration. Keep the brine tank supplied with suitable softener salt. A feed pump, if required by the installation, has separate power requirements.

Installation and Water Quality

Professional sizing, installation and commissioning are required. Hardness testing determines the treatment capacity and regeneration settings. Where needed, provide suitable sediment and iron/manganese pretreatment. Softening does not disinfect water. Site pipework, bypass arrangements and any required feed pump are installation items.
