Colour / Tannin Removal filters

Colour and tannin removal filters are specially designed to treat water that has a brown or yellow tint caused by natural organic matter, such as humic and fulvic acids, typically found in borehole, river, dam, and peat-rich water sources. These stains—commonly referred to as tannins—do not pose direct health risks but can affect the taste, appearance, and aesthetic quality of water, especially for drinking, bathing, laundry, or irrigation use.

Our collection includes cartridge-based tannin filters for under-counter and Big Blue housings, as well as media vessels filled with anion exchange resins, specially formulated to remove dissolved organic matter (DOM). These filters can be used as part of a multi-stage water treatment system, often installed after sediment and iron filtration to ensure maximum effectiveness.
